Delicatessen Conundrum #3

by Ego on Jun.25, 2007, under Llewellynguistics

  • Does your mouth get confused when you eat a tongue sandwich?
  • Does it stutter mid-bite to avoid the pain?
  • Can it recognize familiar but distant DNA?
  • Does it confront a moral dilemma when eating its own kind?

Which brings us to our next deli conundrum: Honeycomb Tripe.

Redundanticide

by Ego on Jun.16, 2007, under Llewellynguistics

Rodenticide

n. From present participle of Latin redundare “to overflow”

1. The semi-violent act of terminating an employee by claiming he or she has become “redundant”.  (See fratricide)

2. The political scheme or chemical admixture employed to effect a redundancy.   (Often confused with redundicide, the scheming, political maneuvering, bribery, or Teflon coating, used to repel or derail acts of redundanticide. See rodenticide. Also, consult and compare with Difenacoum, Brodifacoum and Bromadiolone, developed for use in areas in which rats have developed immunity to Warfarin and Coumatetralyl rodenticide.)
